Biography

Timothy Spangler is a lawyer and commentator who divides his time between the United Kingdom and Southern California. His weekly foreign affairs column appears each Sunday in The Orange County Register and elsewhere in syndication. In addition, he is a featured contributor on Forbes.com, where he blogs on the politics of Wall Street regulation, and the regulation of Wall Street politics.

He has appeared as a commentator on CNN, BBC, CNBC, Sky News and other broadcasters, and has been quoted in the Economist, the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Financial Times, the Wall Street Journal and other publications.

In addition, Timothy produces a weekly radio essay for US public radio stations entitled "THE BIGGER PICTURE", which provide a unique analysis of global affairs from a personal, human-scale perspective. Based on his internationally syndicated newspaper column, each episode gives listeners a historical and cultural context to global events that is often lacking in mainstream media coverage.

In his spare time, he follows the raising and falling fortunes of Fulham Football Club in the English Premiership.
